Austin Pedal Cars returned to Goodwood Revival with a stunning stand in the busy High Street area of this world famous event.
It was hard to miss Austin Pedal Cars at the 2023 Goodwood Revival, not only did we have a stunningly created 1950s-inspired showroom situated on the High Street, we also had the worlds largest J40 flying high on the roof, visible from many areas of the show. And the excitement didn’t end there as we unveiled the brand new Austin Pedal Cars J40 Continuation Car on the Friday morning, the result of 3-years in development, culminating in the first new Austin pedal car since 1971.
The gleaming Ensign Red paintwork of the new car shone in the September sunshine under bespoke lights which made showgoers stop in their tracks, flanked by two unpainted aluminium development cars it was a sight to behold, delighting adults and children alike all weekend long. More information on the J40 Continuation Car can be found here.
Also on display was an example of an extensive Austin Pedal Cars factory restoration, our full range of Austin parts and accessories and a colourful display of the latest Austin Merchandise.
The Austin J40 is a familiar sight at Goodwood thanks to their popular Settrington Cup pedal car race which takes place on Saturday and Sunday, open only to classic Austin J40 pedal cars. A packed grid of more than 70 pedal cars and their eager pedallers lined up for a Le Mans start, with plenty of fast and furious action to entertain the packed grandstands. Our own Austin factory racer Rafe Burnett was amongst the racers in the Wiloby racer, and Austin Pedal Cars was proud to lead out the race with our unique J40 Police Car and J40 pick-up truck being used as pace cars and support vehicles.
Thanks to all who came to the stand throughout the event, and we hope you enjoy our picture gallery below.
